Your Digital Emergency Exit

Disaster Recovery: When You Want to Be Prepared for the Worst

Backup protects your files, but what happens if your entire infrastructure is hit by ransomware or your server room goes down? Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) is not about files; it is about survival. We deliver a fully managed “Plan B” that ensures you can restart your critical systems in Stratu’s cloud when disaster strikes.

Use Your Backup Smartly

Make your backup the cornerstone of your disaster recovery strategy—it is both cost-effective and efficient.

From CAPEX to OPEX

Avoid investing in an expensive secondary data center that sits idle. With DRaaS, you pay a fixed monthly fee for access to our infrastructure.

Tested Preparedness

An emergency plan that has not been tested is worthless. In our solution, an annual full-scale restore test is included, so we know the backup system works when it matters.

The Challenge:

Do you have control over all your “security domains”?

In the past, all data was stored in one place. Today, your critical data is spread across multiple platforms, making recovery complex. A traditional backup solution often overlooks the dependencies that exist in a modern setup.

The Risk of a Fragmented Disaster Recovery Setup:

  • The solutions are fine, but always too expensive: A Disaster Recovery as a Service solution costs money—and therefore it is important to choose solutions with service levels that can be adapted across your infrastructure to match your business requirements.

  • Cloud Dependency: If your Azure Landing Zone (VMs, SQLaaS, Entra ID) is compromised, do you have a way back?

  • Slow Recovery Time: Rebuilding a data center always takes longer than expected. And incidents always happen at the worst possible time.

We are proud to work with

One Unified Recovery Plan

Stratu DRaaS – We bring you back if disaster strikes.

We deliver Disaster Recovery as a Service based on market-leading technology from Veeam and Nutanix. We continuously replicate your critical workloads to Stratu’s Danish data centers via a secure site-to-site VPN.

We cover all critical pillars of your operations:

  1. Azure & Cloud: Protection of virtual machines, SQL as a Service, and blob storage.

  2. SaaS Applications: Protection of Microsoft 365 (Email, Teams, SharePoint).

  3. On-Premises: Replication of your on-premises Veeam backups and physical servers.

  4. Identity: Backup of Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), ensuring your users can actually sign in to the recovery environment.

“Everyone has a role in continuous operations. We ensure those roles work together when crisis strikes.”

Scalable Security

Choose the level that matches your risk profile.

Not all organizations have the same downtime requirements. That is why we offer three service levels, so you only pay for what you actually need.

From Strategy to Security

How We Build Your Preparedness

An effective preparedness setup starts with a clear responsibility matrix (RACI). We follow a structured process to ensure the technology aligns with business requirements.

1. Design & VPN Setup We establish a secure site-to-site connection between your firewall and Stratu’s data center. We configure your cloud repository and ensure that encryption keys are in place.

2. Replication & Policies We define how often data is sent to us (RPO). For premium customers, this can be as low as a few minutes. For basic/standard, we typically run daily jobs, and you can base restores on your own backup data.

3. Testing & Annual Cycle As part of our SLA, we can conduct an annual test. This provides documented assurance.

Frequently asked questions:

DRaaS (FAQ)

Yes. Our “security domains” approach means we can include both SaaS data and Azure workloads in the overall disaster recovery plan.

To ensure stable replication and failover, we require an established site-to-site VPN connection. For premium solutions, we recommend dedicated infrastructure to ensure performance.

Yes. An annual test is included in Standard and Premium, but we can arrange more frequent tests on a time-and-materials basis if your compliance requirements call for it.

When we design your solution, these two metrics determine both the pricing and the architecture.

  • RTO (Recovery Time Objective):

    • Question: How long can we tolerate downtime?

    • Stratu Solution: With DRaaS Premium we drastically reduce RTO, since the environment is already running. With Basic you accept a longer RTO in exchange for a lower price.

  • RPO (Recovery Point Objective):

    • Question: How much data loss can we tolerate?

    • Stratu Solution: We can configure replication to run almost continuously, ensuring you lose no more than 15 minutes of work in the event of an outage.

Column in Ingeniøren

With countless emails and passwords, cyber fatigue is taking hold

In a column in Ingeniøren, our CEO Jeppe Klestrup shares his thoughts on a growing challenge: cyber fatigue.

In the article, he writes:

"Cyber fatigue is a form of mental exhaustion that affects two levels. On one side are employees who face a constant stream of warnings, passwords and security requirements.

The result is not greater vigilance, but that people tune out and ignore warnings simply to get through the working day.

On the other side are decision-makers, including IT managers tired of constantly having to choose between security, operations and budgets."

– Jeppe Klestrup, CEO, Stratu
